Here at Ten Motives we have always upheld the policy that we don’t sell our products to anyone under the age of 18. If you take a look at the bottom of the page you can see an example of one of the warnings we make visible here on the website and on our products.
We are happy to hear that the Government has finally passed new legislation making it illegal to sell e-cigarettes to under-18s. The law will be an amendment to the Children and Families Bill, and will beintroduced this week.
As well as the legislation, there are also new rules that should come into effect by the autumn, focusing on adults purchasing e-cigarettes on behalf of someone under the age of 18. Anyone caught breaking this law could face a £50 fixed penalty notice or a fine of up to £2,500.
We welcome the news. Our target market has always been individuals over the age of 18 who are looking for a healthier alternative to smoking tobacco.Back to News
